Hydrangea Macrophylla ‘Red’

Mophead hydrangeas are fabulous shrubs for partial shade, their soft, pillowy flower heads lifting dingy areas with bold blocks of colour. They’re perfect for shady containers, woodland areas or underplanting beneath a light tree canopy. Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Red’ produces strong stems clothed in bright green, toothed leaves and deep red flower heads from June to September. The skeletal seedheads persist long after the flowers have faded, providing continuous interest right through to winter. Height: 2m (6.5ft). Spread: 2.5m (8.2ft).
