Hebe Odora ‘New Zealand Gold’

Reminiscent of Box, this hardy shrub makes a superb alternative to traditional evergreens for creating a dense mound of foliage. The yellow-green stems have a tightly compact habit that naturally forms a rounded pillow, but will also tolerate clipping for a more formal appearance. The dark green leaves are small and spear-shaped, with golden margins that make them stand out nicely. Hebe odora ‘New Zealand Gold’ rarely flowers, but if conditions are right it produces white blooms in early summer. Hardy and low maintenance, this evergreen shrub is ideal for gravel gardens, borders and containers where it will bring year round structure to the garden. Height and spread: 100cm (39″).
