Eucalyptus Cinerea ‘Silver Dollar’

One of the most beautiful foliage shrubs, Eucalyptus cinerea ‘Silver Dollar’ boasts loose sprays of rounded, stalkless leaves, stacked like coins along slender stems. The stunning, silvery-blue colour beautifully enhances other flowering plants, hence its popularity as a long-lasting filler for vase displays. The foliage of ‘Silver Dollar’, remains juvenile, and adult leaves are rarely formed. Like other Eucalyptus, it has a fruity, menthol scent when crushed. This versatile Eucalyptus responds well to pruning and training. It can be grown in a variety of forms – a small ‘lollipop’ tree, a bushy multi-stemmed shrub, a fast-growing privacy screen, or as a container specimen. Mature specimens develop attractive grey and red-brown bark. Rate of Growth: 1-1.5m per year. Mature height and spread if left unpruned – Height: 10-15 m (32-49ft). Spread: 5m (16’4”).
